There was not much detail about her childhood is revealed. When she was in middle school,there was no dance club at her middle school. So, she became a cheerleader. Her coach thought she was talented and so she was offered to be a cheerleader for the national team. She was good at cheerleading and ballet. Chi.U attended Induk University. She was a pre-debut member of MEP-C.
ex – X:IN Chi.U Career
Chi.U trained for 4 years and debuted as a soloist on November 2, 2021, with the digital single “I Want to Love” (2021). In 2022, She joined GBK Entertainment and became a trainee on their online training platform Universe. At that time, she was a pre-debut member of MEP-C.
Following year, she was revealed to be the third member of the girl group X:IN and debuted with the album, KEEPING THE FIRE. On June 7, 2023, it was announced that she left the group due to personal circumstances.
She is now the CEO of EMMP Company (her own label) in August 2024 (announced on January 26, 2025). She is also the leader of the girl group I:mond under the stage name Eseol under her label. She was the first member in the group to be revealed and debuted in june 4, 2024 with the single “We Are Gravity”.
